Hazel started Wispease in 2018. At the time she was a make-up artist and was in the process of transferring her kit to fully cruelty free & sustainable make up products, but was growing frustrated with using false eyelashes as she hated the throwaway nature of them and the waste of packaging. She decided to put her life savings into a business that creates sustainable false eyelashes with absolutely no animal fur, so she came up with the concept of using PBT FIBRE which is a man-made type of silk to create fluffy false eyelashes without the hassle!
The iOutlet
Students James and Matt started the iOutlet off the back of an idea when Blackberrys were very popular, iPhones had just arrived and were very expensive and the thought of repairing either was unheard of. By learning the skills to repair them, James and Matt could see there was margin in repairing and reselling, and the iOutlet was born.
Lovemeafrohair
Lovemeafrohair Limited was developed after Maleka struggled for years to find affordable and good quality Afro hair and hair care products, travelling all the way to London to either purchase hair care products or to get her hair done at a huge cost, plus would feel excluded and hurt because she didn't have what is considered the normal hair type. Maleka decided to try and bridge this gap by starting her own business catering to the BAME community using her savings. Lovemeafrohair intends to provide products that are parabens, silicones and phalates free that will soften, moisture, conditions and detangles Afro hair types.
